This is a kit of the first Festiniog Railway disc signals supplied to the railway by Brown, Marshall in the 1860s. Most were fitted with the 3’0” diameter perforated disc but a pair were also fitted with square boards for use around the original Moelwyn Tunnel, and the kit can produce either version. It consists of a nickel silver etch for the base, ladder, platform, brackets and disc/board, brass tubing for the post and lost wax brass castings for the lamp and base. It can be made to operate via a rod through the base if required.
